Maureen Says: On our trip to Florida in 04 we started from Baltimore, Md on South 95. Make sure you get through the Washington DC area before 5 am so not to get tied up in their traffic. We made our first stop in Florence, SC and stayed at the Swamp Fox Campground overnite......From there to Jacksonville, Fl. and a 3 day stayover at Kathyrn Abbey Hannah Park, which is a city park next to the ocean. We were there in October and We had the 1.5 mile beach almost to ourselves! Then on to Fort Wilderness for a stay that made memories.... As we traveled the I-95, I used the I-95 Services Guide which gave you info on what was at each Exit. It included gas stations, lodging, campgrounds, fast food...etc. It was great when Wayne said he needed to stop for gas and all I needed to do was see what mile marker we were at and then tell him what was at the next exit . Put "I95 exit guide" in Google to find the site.
